The highly anticipated event that celebrates all your favourite internet sensations is almost here!

Amplify Live, which sees a whole bunch of popular YouTubers get together down under, toured Australia successfully last year and this year they’ve added New Zealand to the list. With events in Auckland and Wellington this weekend, it’s the perfect way to kick off the school holidays.

American YouTubers Tyler Oakley, Kian Lawley, JC Caylen, Andrea Russett and Trevor Moran join Australia’s Kurt Coleman and Tyde Levi as well as NZ’s own Jamie Curry (Jamie’s World) at this massive YouTubers party – and you could be there!

We’ve got your guide for making the most of this weekend’s festivities. The YouTubers appearing have over 21.4 million subscribers between them, so it’s time to fangirl or fanboy on the inside and play it cool on the outside!

Alongside the main YouTubers in attendance, some local stars will also be at the event. Auckland’s special guests are Kris Fox, Liam McEwan, Kasper Tait, Caito Potatoe and Benny McNugget and for Wellington, Dylan Rasmussen. You’ll also get access to the Amplify Playground, which has activities pre-show.

TEARAWAY’s Tips for Amplify Live Attendees

#1. Be prepared to spend your whole day at Amplify Live – the jam-packed show runs for two hours, plus the meet-and-greets are in different groups throughout the day – if you opt to get that upgrade.

#2. If you’re in the meet-and-greets, make sure you have your phone/camera ready to take that selfie or photo. Don’t be that person who holds up the line while they get themselves ready.

#3. Everyone loves some good merch! The guests have some cool t-shirts and posters for sale at the events, so prepare for that.

#4. Be prepared to be on your feet, laughing, singing along and dancing with all your favourites. You’re also allowed to film the show, so make sure your phone is charged to take photos, selfies, Snapchats…

#5. Remember to stay hydrated and eat well – you’ll have a great time when you have heaps of energy to enjoy it all.

#6. Amplify Live is a chance to meet and see your favourite YouTubers in the flesh so make sure you have fun and enjoy yourself!

Amplify Live will be on this Saturday at Auckland’s Bruce Mason Centre and on Sunday in Wellington at the St James Theatre. There are still tickets available so if you want to join the Amplify Live party head here for tickets!
