SIX60 announce a solitary summer show

On the 23rd of February next year, SIX60 will become the first New Zealand band to ever headline at the iconic venue, Western Springs Stadium. It’s also been announced that this will be their only summer show, so it’s best to free yourself up for a trip to Auckland ASAP. This all-ages show will also feature support from some of New Zealand’s biggest artists right now: Drax Project, Sons of Zion, SWIDT, and IllBaz. Make sure to grab your tickets once they go on sale on Ticketmaster on 6th July, as these are gonna go fast.

Vince Harder announces new EP, COLOURS, drops title track

Vince Harder is undoubtedly one of Aotearoa’s most talented performers. Over the past decade he has covered all things performing arts with his involvement in song writing, production, artist development, management, and musical theatre. Vince has been involved with an array of chart topping songs, including three #1 hits, including the timeless house party hit with P Money, Everything. COLOURS, his new 6-track, self-produced EP is due for release on 27th July. Check out the freshly dropped title track below.

 

Marissa Nadler drops haunting single

As the strings peek through the brooding acoustic guitars in the chorus to Marissa Nadler’s new tune and she croons “please don’t remember me for my crimes,” it’s hard not to feel the emotional weight that she’s laying down. Her new album, For My Crimes, is set to be released on 28th September.

 

Kimbra teams up with Dawn to release Version of Me

Okay, so maybe this was released way back last Friday, but it was shamefully neglected by last week’s Music Haul. Kiwi music this good can’t be ignored by us.

Speaking of Kiwi music deserving love, here’s one from Ryan Prebble’s brilliant album Fruits that deserves far more rotations than it got in its time. This man understands the art of throwing down grooves with his gat more than most.
