Jam of the Week

There’s something about Yob’s unique brand of doom metal that transcends the usual cliches and pitfalls that the genre can fall victim to. Their latest album Our Raw Heart, although not much less heavy than their other (astoundingly consistent) work, has a sort of triumphant, positive quality to it that keeps me coming back. Make some time to check the whole album out for a real musical journey, and read up on frontman Mike Scheidt’s journey for bonus points.
