Rainbow Six Siege beta having teething issues

I awoke this morning to a text from my friend saying “Rainbow Six Siege beta now”. I started breathing heavily. Upon finding out it was available I also came across a few forums that shared this information:

“The open beta for Rainbow Six Siege was supposed to be on November 25, at 10 AM EST. However, Ubisoft ran into some issues and has made the decision to postpone its launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.”

“We’re currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms,” the developer said in the game’s forums.

“As such, we’re postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.”

Now more conflicting updates have been released to say that it will still commence, but my advice would be to not hold your breath. It’s called a beta for a reason.

So with a loud and disappointed sigh, I started playing Dying Light again…

Black Friday game deals – stay indoors!

Now we all love a good bargain on our favourite clothing brand or album from our favourite pop star (preferably Justin Bieber and Adele’s new albums), but when it comes to Black Friday Sales in the US, it’s a whole different ball game.

There were bargains upon bargains causing madness to break out in stores. Luckily for the PS4 gaming species, becoming a part of that chaos isn’t a problem, as they could access sweet gaming deals from the comfort of their own gaming chair.

PlayStation experienced an insane spike in online sales, with prices on popular games that were slashed, some at almost 40%. Games like Grand Theft Auto went for $25.20USD, which is close to a 58% discount! Also, the latest Assassin’s Creed, in October, went for $35.99USD.

Even consoles themselves were going out the door at low prices; PS4s were reportedly being sold for about 200Euros, which is equivalent to $324NZD!

If you are a gamer on any platform and if you have been saving up for that special game that you’ve always wanted, get online now as this might be the only chance to snatch it up while you can!

Just Cause 3 – heroes never get a day off

With nothing but a wingsuit, a parachute, a patchy beard and an uncanny amount of ammunition, Just Cause 3’s release date is just around the corner.

Here is the trailer for the action packed game that looks to be the most anticipated of the trilogy!

That wingsuit though…

You heard it here first, at #TearawayGamersDen.
