The Creators Project showcases the visual spectacle of “Lighting The Sails” —a site-specific work created by Universal Everything for Sydney’s VIVID Live 2015 featured in a new video series called EYE CANDY.
Watch as Matt Pyke, the founder and creative director of Universal Everything, discusses the hand-drawn and computer-generated animations by 35 global collaborators, and marvel at the colourful projections mapped on the Sydney Opera House, one of the world’s most iconic buildings brought to life by a cloak of colour.
The EYE CANDY series takes viewers inside a single installation, providing the most extensive and exclusive coverage of a debut multimedia work. These short videos are driven by the sights and sounds of an installation, providing artist insight and context to the visual experience. Viewers are immersed in the artist’s piece as if standing in front of the works themselves.
