We have some exciting news from the wonderful people behind The Outlook for Someday film challenge! They’re gearing up to take things to the next level by introducing Someday Stories. Here’s how it will work.

Someday Stories will consist of a series of six short films made by budding young filmmakers like you. They will be produced in the first half of next year. The six people/teams behind the films have not yet been chosen, but you can apply now if you want to be one of them. It’ll be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to bring your vision for Aotearoa’s future into the spotlight!

After film proposals are sent in and whittled down to the most promising six, a mentor will be assigned to help produce each short film. The finished works will be screened on Māori Television, The Wireless and Thecoconet.tv. Oh, and to help them along the way, each film will be given a budget of $10,000. You can expect something amazing to come out of this.

This whole project is supported by NZ On Air, the New Zealand Film Commission and The Body Shop, so cheers to them!
