This morning, the first full Rhythm and Vines line-up was released. The festival has announced a New Year’s-worthy crew which showcases homegrown musicians and acclaimed international acts.
From December 29-31 2016, festival-goers will see Chance the Rapper, ZHU and RÜFÜS headline the festival.
Chance the Rapper will be making his New Zealand debut. Off the back of his critically acclaimed mixtape Colouring Book, Chance will finally be bringing his fusion hip hop gospel rap to New Zealand shores.
The Los Angeles-based ZHU comes to New Zealand after releasing his debut album Generationwhy and playing festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella.
Aussie trio RÜFÜS returns to New Zealand after two sell-out shows at the Powerstation. After releasing their second studio album Bloom, they bring their infectious indie dance back for RnV.
A strong hip hop presence will be at this year’s festival, with other international acts as Goldlink, Denzel Curry. Plus there’ll be dance and electronic artists Dusky, S.P.Y and Skream.
DJ sets will be performed by Wilkinson, festival favourites Netsky and Hot Chip.
Local acts include favourites Savage, The Jordan Luck Band, P Money, Yoko-Zuna and Anna Coddington.
