Is your idea the next big thing? Whether you want to make and sell something awesome, invent new ways of doing things, or transform your community and change the world, IDEAStarter* is the competition you’ve been waiting for.
IDEAStarter is open to all creative, enthusiastic and determined Aucklanders aged 15-24 who have a great idea for a new product or service.
IDEAStarter aims to help young people reach their potential, supporting young entrepreneurs to grow their business skills, build networks and access resources. It’s open to either individuals or teams, with two age categories for entrants: 15-18 years and 19-24 years.
There are prizes on offer, too. Judges will award prize packs – including a tablet and sessions with an expert business mentor – to 15 entries they think have the potential to be the next big thing.
If you want help with preparing your entry, you can register for an Idea Generator session being held on 9 May at AUT’s Northcote, central Auckland and Manukau campuses.
The IDEAStarter winners will be announced at a showcase event on 25 May. They will get to take part in the IDEAStarter Summit to build connections with potential business partners, and grow their entrepreneurial skills.
For more information on IDEAStarter, to enter your idea or to enrol for an Idea Generator session, visit www.ideastarter.co.nz. Entries close at 5pm on 15 May 2015.
