You’ll know the famous name, especially if you’ve been following her 15-year career that has currently got her in the hot seat (literally!) as a judge/mentor on The Voice Australia.

Delta Goodrem became a household name at the tender age of 16 when she starred on long-running Australian TV show Neighbours and she’s come a long way since then, showcasing her wide variety of talents in last night’s performance.

The intimate concert was held at Mollie’s Boutique Hotel hidden away in Herne Bay, Auckland. Sony and iHeartRadio bought together her biggest fans and NZ media for an exclusive chance to see the superstar up close and personal.

Delta has such an amazing stage presence — it doesn’t matter if she’s performing to 60 people at a showcase or thousands of people in an arena, she loves interacting with the crowd and giving her all, showcasing her amazing voice.

Much to the crowd’s delight, she belted out her debut hit single Born to Try — the feels guys, the feels. Delta was supported by her guitarist Dolce while she switched between playing the grand piano and strutting around the room with her microphone in hand.

I’m a bit obsessed with her new single, Wings so I was excited to hear it live and Delta did not disappoint. The raw acoustic version of the song was so amazing.

I would have liked to have seen her in a slightly different venue, this was held in two rooms opened up into one but there was a big wall in between so didn’t create the open-flow that it potentially needed, nonetheless, Delta handled this like a pro walking out to interact with the crowd in the second room. I would love to see her in a bigger venue.

When meeting Delta — she made sure she had time to meet everyone and ask them how they were going — I mentioned how amazing she was live and how much I was loving Wings. She told me “I really wanted to play the entire album but it was great to go back to memory lane and play those tracks as well.” I can’t wait to hear her new album if Wings is anything to go by!

Wings is available now on iTunes and her upcoming fifth studio album is due for release in the near future.
