Adam Lambert has amazing vocals and a huge presence, there's no denying that. The American rockstar walked on stage at Auckland's Civic Theatre last night in his signature style – heeled boots and fingerless gloves – to a loud crowd of Kiwi fans.

He hasn't been back on the solo show circuit for awhile, as he most recently toured the world (including NZ late last year) as the frontman for music legends, Queen.

iHeartRadio put on last night's show for the ultimate Adam Lambert fans, or 'Glamberts', as they're also known. It was an hour-filled extravaganza of throwbacks from his first record (For Your Entertainment) through to new tunes off the recently-released The Original High

Adam put on an amazing performance alongside his four-piece band. He belted out his ballads, including new tunes Underground and After Hours as well as his hit songs What Do You Want From Me and a remix of If I Had You. Ghost Town, my new favourite off his new album, was also on the setlist.

I loved when he explained what There I Said It was about, because relatable tunes are the best: “This one is for all the haters who told you you're doing it wrong.” While Another Lonely Night, he said, was about “being addicted to someone... we've all had that one person in our lives.” Adam added that the new album was “therapy” for him.

He obviously loves the Kiwis, as he kept asking the technicians to turn on the house lights so he could see “all the beautiful faces”. He also asked the crowd how we greet each other. One female fan up the front told him we say “hey bro”, to which Adam replied: “Oh, but you ain't a bro, you're a beautiful women with a sense of style.” Can you love him any more?!

Adam ended the show with a mix of his tune Trespassing and Queen's classic Another One Bites The Dust. He then went onto purposely and very sassily drop his microphone; what a way to make an exit!

He had the crowd in cheers, claps and screams for the entire concert as he strutted across the stage. I highly recommend you go check him out in January next year.

Adam Lambert's album The Original High is out now and it's just been announced that he's heading back to NZ for a big concert in January 2016! Tickets are available for his Auckland Town Hall show from Ticketmaster next Thursday (13th) at 10am.
